Hi! I'm Courtney Klick...

The backstory

When I was 15, I lost my mom after her 12-year battle with cancer. My family was ruptured, broken apart in ways we never could have prepared for. That kind of loss rewires you. Though I attempted to become ultra self-reliant, that expereince made one thing crystal clear to me: we are not meant to do life alone.

From that moment on, I set off on a mission to help people feel connected—not just in times of joy, but in times of heartbreak, transition, and change. Because every breakup, every loss, every fracture in our relationships isn’t an ending—it’s an opening. An invitation to grow deeper, not further apart.

For over 20 years, I’ve worked in holistic health, wellness, community building, and relationship coaching, helping people create stronger, healthier relationships—whether in love, family, or business.

But my biggest transformation came after having kids. Parenthood shook the foundation of my own relationship, and I knew I couldn’t keep going without massively upgrading how I relate. So, I did what I do best: I studied, and then started sharing everything I could with others.

Courtney's Breakup Story

A journey of resilience in long-term relationship

When we first got together, our relationship felt solid—happy, safe, and full of promise. We were a team, deeply connected, and ready to build a life together. And for a while, we did.

Then, we had kids.

Love got buried under the weight of responsibility. The effortless partnership we once had turned into misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and quiet disconnection. It felt like we had already broken up, just without saying the words.

At first, we thought we just needed to communicate better or find more time for each other. But the truth was, something much deeper was happening. So, we set off on a discovery process that would stretch over five years—coaching, studying, unpacking everything we thought we knew about love, connection, and what makes a relationship truly thrive.

We explored attachment styles, personal values, and the quiet, unspoken non-negotiables we had been carrying all along. We didn’t just work on our relationship—we had to create a roadmap for our couple, a new way forward that honored who we were individually and together.

But the biggest revelation?

I had to stop waiting for the relationship to “fix” itself. I had to stop looking at every fight as something to run from, something that meant we were failing. Because the truth is, in a long-term relationship, every fight is a mini-breakup—a rupture that needs attention, repair, and a willingness to grow through it, not just get past it.

So, instead of turning away, I turned toward & inward.

I stopped looking for my security in the relationship alone and started cultivating it within myself. I built a resilience I never knew I had. I let go of the idea that love should always feel safe and easy, and instead embraced the reality that deep love requires real work—work that doesn’t just make the relationship stronger, but makes you stronger.

And perhaps most importantly, I learned that to truly show up in my relationship, I had to have a relationship with myself first. My own dreams, my own heartbeat, my own sense of self—separate from my family, yet deeply connected to the love we were building.

This journey didn’t just change my relationship. It changed me.

And now, I help others navigate their own way through the breakups because these aren’t the end of the story. They’re the invitation to something deeper.

If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck and start creating a relationship that grows with you, let’s talk.
